About Us

Chris Clarke Weathervanes is based in Whitby, on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. We are a small, family run business, consisting of myself Chris, and my wife Liz. I have over 30 years’ experience in producing handcrafted ironwork, and my popular weathervanes are sent out all over the country and abroad.

We have worked together as a team for nearly 20 years now. I make the weathervanes in my workshop in Whitby, and we sell them online and also in Liz’s shop Wind and Willow which is situated on Brunswick St, Whitby. We used to travel all over the country exhibiting at local, and national country fairs, but sadly age has caught up and a nice warm shop appeals more than a wet and windy field these days!

Although my workshop isn’t open to the public, you are more than welcome to come into the shop where there are many example of my work on display, as well as a comprehensive catalogue of my work. I am always willing to discuss designs, various mountings available, and for those that are interested in the engineering aspect of my work I am more than happy to show and explain everything to you. Some designs are available in the shop to buy and take away immediately, or we can take orders for other designs and bespoke work.
